Residences
+ Relocations is the only boutique residential leasing agency
that has been invited by Deutsche Bank to join
their housing panel. We were the first organisation
that did not have to tender, or bid, for the Bank's contract.
We were invited because we offered a superior service to
that of the then incumbent agency and any other agency the
bank had used in the past.
We're now officially in our FIFTH year under a formal contract
with DB to assist their staff with housing and relocation
needs and believe me, you don't get invited back to an investment
bank like Deutsche if you're not good at what you do!
We've asked some of our more recent clients to let you have
their comments on our services. Regrettably, we can't
list every one of our DB clients and their comments, but
we feel the following comments will speak volumes of what
we're about. By all means, please contact the referee for
confirmation of their feedback. We've also asked for
the spouses of our DB employees to give you their feedback
as well. After all, your family's welfare and happiness
are paramount to your success here in HK....
"We had the privelege of Mary's services when we were looking for our first apartment in HK and very extremely impressed by her meticulous attention to detail, her ability to know exactly what we were looking for and the speed at which we were set up in our new home. Within one day, she has us our new home! "
Jonathon & Katie Ross, 2006
"We had never relocated before and never visited HK as a family. Both of us were impressed with Mary's knowledge of the HK property market and held and advice in getting settled into life in HK. She showed us properties that were practical for us as a family rather than properties that agents wished to rent. We would not hesitate in recommending Mary to anyone relocating or considering a relocation to HK".
Giles & Sarah Jane Disney, 2006
"We've relocated with Mary on two occasions. On each occasion, Mary has known what we've been looking for and what has impressed us the most is that she has taken only a day or so to find it for us. Her knowledge of the market, her expertise in dealing with local Landlords coupled with her sense of humour has made each relocation within HK as pleaurable experience free of stress. Would highly recommend her services and that of Residences & Relocations Ltd".
Ryan & Rene Bacher, 2003 and 2006
"We recently moved to Hong Kong from Australia. Mayr was appointed by our company to assist us in finding our new home. Of course, having never lived in Hong Kong, we wanted to ensure thatr we were receiving unbiased and up to date information about the rental market, so that we could make informed decisions about where we wanted to live. Mary was wonderful! She took a non-nonsense approach, listening to our requirements and showing us properties that were ofinterest and relevance tous. She made herself available for viewings at our request and was tireless in her search for our idealproeprty. Mary's 'after sales' seervice has been commendable. she has ensured that our transition from Australia to Hong Kong has been smooth andhassle free. Thanks Mary!"
Lief and Jen Thassim, 2006
"Mary impressed me with her energy and excellent local knowledge of how things get done in Hong Kong. She provides a real alternative to the traditional "big relocation firm" service, through her strong personal committment to addressing the needs and concerns of the family she is helping to move. We've used her twice now and she continually comes up trumps".
Joe Longo, 2006
"It has never been as easy for me and my wife to find a flat which suits our requirements as we did in Hong kong working with Mary. Despite the fact that we knew nothing about the areas when we started, she got an idea almost straight away of what we really were looking for - the first flat we visited is actually the one we are living in now. Mary gave us an overview of what we could expect at/above and below our budget range and in different locations on Hong Kong Island. She provided us with good advises regarding the location/transportation/neighborhood and services we could expect while driving us to the different buildings and taking good care of us making this search interesting, enjoyable and very efficient as we did not waste a minute thanks to great organization. Having decided on our ideal flat, the contract was finalized and everything happened on time despite some other people being apparently interested in the accommodation. Throughout the process Mary has been always available, on weekends or even late during the week to organize some visits, to take pictures of the accommodation we were visiting and send them to us to make sure every party involved were up to date, to get the contract done and signed up to the final delivery of the key, installment of the utilties. Thanks Mary for your help and for making this process quick and truly enjoyable".

"We have re-located a number of
times to different locations. In our recent move to Hong
Kong we were very disappointed with the relocation services
provided by the large established agents. However
our faith was restored working with Mary. She has
wonderful ability to draw from her clients their real needs
and through her selection of properties made me very confident
in her ability to settle my family. Mary looked after all
the negotiations, and details of settling in. Most
notably once the deal was done, Mary followed up and ensured
that all was indeed fine. I would recommend Mary to
be your trusted advisor when settling into HK."
Weng Cheah, 2005
"Thanks to Mary our relocation went
very smoothly. She is highly experienced with asian expat
living and quickly understands the needs and expectations
of a particular client. She will come up with the
best and most efficient plan of action. At all times we
did feel that she had our best interests at heart.
Mary is highly efficient, intelligent, sensitive, kind and
yet a very tough negotiator, which made her an invaluable
asset, best of all she has the funniest sense of humour
and so made the whole experience very enjoyable. I can highly
recommend her."
Ricardo Honegger, 2002
"Mary
did a fantastic job for us. Initially she ensured she thoroughly
understood our requirements, filtered out all the rubbish,
unlike many agents who try to show you whatever they feel
like. Mary was also tenacious in her negotiating to get
us the best possible deal. Upon moving in she did an excellent
job help us to organise curtains and furniture etc etc.
A very professional service."

"I would have no hesitation
in recommending Mary to any relocation assignment. She clearly
understands the broader expat needs and priorities and works
hard at understanding the specific mandate and individual
preferences. I was particularly impressed with her commitment
to match us to the rental building that satisfied our needs
rather than just encouraging us towards the most expensive
option. Mary was not only very efficient in representing
us, but also a pleasure to deal with."
Dave Murray, 2002
"Mary was enormously helpful in
a number of aspects regarding moving to HK. She is very
understanding of expat issues, & has numerous helpful
hints as to where to find, or how go about doing, various
things. I have been able to call Mary, both before &
after moving, for advice on a number of issues, &
she is always very helpful as well as pleasant to deal with.
In terms of finding accomodation, Mary goes out of her way
to understand the individual clients needs & place them
appropriately. My kids even love her, & my 3 year old
announced last week that Mary is her favourite of all my
friends! I can highly recommend Mary to anyone looking to
move to or within Hong Kong, & thanks Mary for everything!

"Mary MacLeod
provides an efficient relocation service. Mary understood
our requirements and didn't waste time. She is pleasant
to deal with and has a sense of humour - a helpful attribute
when handling what can be a stressful time. We found Mary's
expertise and local knowledge particularly useful in our
situation. A short term relocation of only 2-3 years,
is different from setting up a permanent house. We didn't
want to wait 6 months for furniture and household fittings
and as we had left our house in Australia with our furniture,
we needed to set up house quickly. Mary did this in 6
weeks! - organising furniture to be made, curtains
and light fittings. A lot of the decisions were confirmed
via email. Mary is also knowledgeable about staff and
other services. At the end Mary is also a friend and that
is great to have in a new place".
